Pinch Punch First of the month !
DAY SIXTY: Monday 1st March 2021:
Good morning and welcome to pinch – punch – first of the month. March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. Well we’ll see.
SMILE OF THE DAY: F.E.A.R. has two meanings: Forget Everything And Run or Face Everything And Rise. The choice is yours.
I have used that before as our SMILE but the words are so powerful I think it is good to repeat it. Actually it is applicable to me. I went to bed fearing today was going to be a difficult day. I woke up thinking perhaps it will not be quite so bad. As each hour goes by and as I face each fear I am looking forward to having a very good day.
Another of my rubbish poems:
Life is a typo.
Yeh I make a lot of them.
Damn light touch keyboards,
and stupid American spelling.
Self-correcting systems implanting
Typo’s by the score.
But life is a typo if you do not make any
then you are not living it fast enough.
Sod the keyboard,
sod Americans who never did learn how to spell.
Let’s make lots of typo’s after all
there are those who take so much delight
In finding them !
So here I am writing, at least starting to write, the third edition of DAVE’S DIARY. Let’s see how many typo’s I can make over the next thirty-one days.
Both the January and the February editions of my diary are now on my Amazon bookshelf. Not that I am asking you to read them, you can if you wish but they are primarily for readers who open my time capsule on 1st January 2021.
I am beginning this new month with 417,718 words under my belt in my one million word challenge. At some point this month I will hit the half million. I now have thirteen books published on Amazon since 1st January so I am almost half way t o my target of twenty-eight.
Another poem from yesterday:
Oh what a glorious thing to be
A healthy, grown up busy, busy, bee.
Thank you Arthur Askey for sharing those words so many years ago.
People today will not understand.
In man’s greed there are few
busy, busy bees.
Soon to be extinct
how sad it can no longer be
a healthy, grown up busy, busy bee.
I am not too sure where to start today’s writing. Poems are added to DAVE’S POEMS as and when they burst into my heart so I can not plan them.
THERE YOU GO DAMN AMERICAN STUPID AUTO SPELL CHECKER !!!!! can and not are two separate words so why IDIOT MICROSOFT do you insist one telling me it should be cannot ? THICK IDIOTS.
I have to edit the text for our various quiz sheets to publish WHO NEEDS A PUB TO HAVE A QUIZ. Writing the individual quiz sheets has been fun but editing all into a book for publishing is a nightmare !
The best book I have ever written is THE BRIDGE HOUSE which was published on 28th May 2018. It took me almost two years to write. I think my new project DESTINY’S SERVANT will overtake it. So far all I have written are six hundred and thirty-three words for the introduction. I am going to slightly change a few words then name the introduction: DANIEL WILLIAM ARTHUR BAINBRIDGE born 1st October 1892 – died 3rd November 1916, When I have finished the book you will understand. While Daniel is the central character throughout he remains in the background and does not become the narrator as I originally planned. In the next chapter the narration is handed over to Daniel’s younger brother but I have not given him a name yet.
When the china virus death figures were published yesterday I celebrated the fact that for two days running there have been no deaths in Milton Keynes where I live. There were, however, twenty-nine new cases. PLEASE can today be a third day in succession with no deaths. Nationally 6,035 new cases and 144 deaths. The figure is falling but until it reaches zero and china virus is extinct we can not be happy. I am sending my love here which even if you are reading these words on 1st January 2021 I hope you will also wrap around with your love.
Shall
we have a look at what was happening ON
THIS DAY in years gone by ? You up
for that ? Take it away Wikipedia.

And
so I approach the first page in my March diary. Let me share my March poem:
MARCH
March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb
March the hare month of the year when Spring begins
to smile
Flowers start to bloom and trees do grow their
leaves
Birds sing and new born lambs appear
For a lamb birth is death
A lamb will play in a field for such a short time
Murder and death await
As does mankind’s dinner plate
Now to remind you of today’s SMILE:
F.E.A.R. has two meanings: Forget Everything And Run or Face Everything And Rise. The choice is yours.
And
with that it’s PINCH-PUNCH first of the month.
Speak
again tomorrow.
Dave
