Politicians are a lower form of life

DAY THIRTY-NINE: Monday 8th February  2021:

Writing here to those who will open my time capsule on 1st January 2121 can I put on record that in my opinion politicians are a lower form of life. I have said many times over recent years that conservative politicians simply do not understand there are REAL people at the end of their policies. labour (I deliberately start a new sentence using small case lettering for the labour party) fully understands that there are real people but believe they are only there to play politics with. As for liberal democrats I used to say that they did not believe in democracy and that of course is true but now they are simply are an irrelevance !

Given all that terrible things that are happening it saddens me that little people who are lower life forms play politics.

Me ?  Do I have any political views ?  Actually I do. I am an ULTRA EXTREEME FAR RIGHT SOCIALIST !  A socialist because I believe in and love people. Ultra extreme far right because god help anyone who gets in my way of loving and caring for people.

SMILE OF THE DAY:  Everyone has their own story – A reason why they are the way they are. So don’t judge them if you don’t know their story.

That, of course, does not apply to politicians who mouth off about their story 25/8/366.

Yesterday I drafted a page for my planned Almanac Of Smiles. It am not comfortable with it. It needs to be brightened up a lot, illustrations would be good but Amazon is not good at formatting illustrations in books. I will experiment again today and when I get to the end of today’s diary page I will share what I put into the almanac.

I wrote a lot yesterday, 5,078 words bringing the total to 300,855. Let me have a quick Google and try to find out how many words other authors average in a day.

Stephen King wrote around 2,000 words a day

Ernest Hemmingway 500 words a day

Mark Twain 1,400 to 1,800 words a day

Arthur Conan Doyle 3,000 words a day

Graham Green 500 words a day

Barbra Cartland 8,000 words a day BUT she did not write them, she dictated them to assistants who then typed them up

Agatha Christie ?  She has buried the fact somewhere in her illogical plots and unbelievable characters.

I spent most of my day writing the chapter within BEHIND THE NOOSE about Ian Brady and Myra Hindley. I think it is a good chapter but it was very heavy going trying to explain the evil within these serial child killers. I did not finish the chapter, perhaps another two or three hundred words today will do that. I may then start writing about the husband and wife killers Fred and Rose West. It could be good to let everything flow from the way I was working yesterday but I may need to take a break.

My 4am moment today told me exactly how to proceed through the fog with the point I am at in THE SECRET DIARY OF AN OLD MAN AGED THIRTEEN AND THREE QUARTERS.

It is snowing outside, not heavy but it is snowing. Snow is rare in the part of England where I live. I have to go out to take Doggie Jake to the vet and to post this week’s SMILE envelopes.

Yesterday there were another 15,845 cases of china virus and another 373 deaths. Locally another 60 cases and 3 deaths. As I lay my head down to sleep last night and, as I do every night, spend a few moments sending love to the real people behind the numbers I wondered how I would feel if I caught the virus.

I have had my first vaccination but will it work ? If I became ill and went into hospital would I be able to remain positive ?  Could I fight ?  I wondered for some time how those who are represented each day in the figures feel ?  It is impossible to imagine but it is something I will again contemplate as I spend time tonight.

BOOK OF THE WEEK Quantum Mechanics A Time Travel Trilogy. Published on 4th March 2017 If you elect to spend 99p on the e-book I would say thank you for choosing to read my story. But having friends read these fifteen or so thousand words is not why I have written them. There is something quite different I hope you will be inspired to do. Read the three little stories by all means but that is not what this trilogy is about. I want you to take part in your own exploration of time and space. Use my three simple adventures to start your own. Max Robinson - author

WIKI MOMENT Today you are invited to take two items from ON THIS DAY and add to your knowledge who was Leo I The Thracian and what in 457 was the Byzantine Empire. When you have discovered that have a bit of fun and learn who Girolamo Savonarola was.

Remember it is better to know a little about a lot of things than to know a lot about just one thing. SMILE

HONOUR AND RESPECT One year ago today, Sunday 7th February 2021, 373 people in the UK lost their lives to covid-19 or if you prefer corona virus. It is time now in our Almanac of Smiled to remember them, to remember those who lost a loved one and today will be feeling more sadness on this first anniversary. Remember, honour and respect all those who cared for them in hospital. Numbers are empty figures behind which there are real people. Take a few moments right now to honour and respect their memory.

So there you go. Speak again tomorrow.

Dave
