DAY THIRTY-ONE:  Sunday 31 st January 2021: A tale of two cities. When Charles Dickens wrote A Tale Of Two Cities those cities were London and Paris, as I write today of two cities they are Milton Keynes and Brussels – Milton Keynes and its concrete cows – Brussels and its sprouts ! I have written over the past month fearing the vaccine roll out. Yesterday I received my letter inviting me to have my jab in MILTON KEYNES where I live. I went to-line to process my appointment, what a BEATUTIFUL system was there waiting for me. It was easy, it was efficient and it made me feel happy. I have my first vaccination booked for Thursday next week at a pharmacy walking distance from my home. I have my second jab booked for April at the same pharmacy. I can not praise too highly the NHS system behind the vaccination programme. I assume the world-famous Milton Keynes concrete cows have their vaccinations booked. DAY THIRTY:  Saturday 30 th January 2021: The BEAUTIFUL – THE GOOD – THE BAD and THE THOROUGHLY EVIL ! Shouldn’t there be UGLY in there somewhere ?   I am UGLY so we’ll take that as read shall we ?   BEAUTIFUL:   Early yesterday I received a phone call from Flowers Care Home where we are sending our SMILE cards and fun quizzes for residents. The lovely lady really gave us all a big hug down the phone which made my day very special. How many times have I said that the WAVE OF LOVE flows in t wo directions. If you give love, support and kindness t hen you get it back. SMILE AT THE WORLD AND THE WORLD WILL SMILE BACK AT YOU. DAY TWENTY-NINE:  Friday 29 th January 2021: What does the word FEAR mean ? SMILE OF THE DAY has the answer. F.E.A.R has two meanings: Forget Everything And Run or Face Everything And Rise. Which do you prefer. I really am fearful about the world situation as it stands right now. A killer virus despatched from China the like of which we have never seen before, not even in our worst nightmares. Right now there is a team in China investigating the origins of the pandemic, like me do you fear they will be denied access to the truth ? It is a matter of face, not a matter of opinion, that Boris Johnson and his government have done too little too late and as a result more people have died than needed to.   DAY TWENTY-EIGHT:  Thursday 28 th January 2021: WARNING to those who read Dave’s Diary – The diary nobody reads !   Today’s edition is going to be long, long but I hope within all the words I here put into order will create something powerful. Yesterday was Holocaust Memorial Day. All very well and good, the evil that murdered six million people needs to be remembered but are we remembering the people or are we remembering the evil ? Today all these years later we do not know who the people are, we do not know anyone who knew anyone who died. DAY TWENTY-SEVEN:  Wednesday 27 th January 2021: Are we facing global annihilation ?   Is humanity on the verge of extinction ?   It could be. This pandemic is a bigger threat than any war man has fought against man. We have had two so called world wars but for neither was the whole world at war. If there had been a nuclear war not every square inch of the planet would have been in danger as we now are. Did you know that scientists in Russia are preparing for the virus to mutate into the animal population. Everything is far, far, far more serious than people believe it to be. The facts are just starting to emerge, some of the facts but not all of the truth, about what happened in China. Never in history has one nation done what China has done.
