BEAUTIFUL
DAY SIXTY-EIGHT: Tuesday 9th March 2021:
BEAUTIFUL
Do something beautiful today
And paint a masterpiece in this sad old world.
If you and me and everyone else,
did something beautiful today
what would the Mona Lisa have to say ?
Vincent’s sunflowers would smile with pride ?
A simple act of kindness,
Something beautiful today,
I’ll do it if you ‘ll do it,
come on let’s all give it a go.
Beautiful is the word to describe yesterday.
Here I am 5.51am my right leg is giving me the jip, it’s stiff and has been a
pain – literally – but sod it I could not be feeling more happy if I had won
the lottery.
SMILE
S is for your SMILE
M is for MANY of your SMILES
I is for INFINATITY in your SMILES
L is for LOVE in your SMILES
E is for EVERYONE needs your SMILE
SMILE and make people happy
SMILE
I received a BEAUTIFUL e-mail BEAUTIFUL BIG TIME yesterday from BRISTOL CHILDRENS HOSPITAL following the SMILE cards I sent to staff there.
I received a message of THANKS for the support I have been trying to give to OAKGROVE SCHOOL. The evening before schools were about to re-open after months of lock down the headmaster took time to thank me.
The police thanked me for supporting their work in these difficult times.
THANK YOU ALL.
Then
came the BIGGIE ! A former homeless rough-sleeper from when we ran our lunch of
love telephoned me. We have not spoken for a year, it was so wonderful to hear
his voice. He wants me to help him write a book, his life story. Me help him
? He is ten times as clever as I am.
What an honour to be asked.
TODAY
Oh what a beautiful morning,
Oh what a beautiful day.
I’ve got a beautiful feeling
Love, Friendship and SMILES are coming my way.
Oh what a beautiful noon time,
Oh what a beautiful time of the day.
So much kindness from so many friends and loved ones,
My heart is bursting with all that has come my way.
Oh what a beautiful afternoon
Oh what a beautiful day this is.
MY face is SMILING with an incandescent glow
Thank You all who have ignited its fire.
Oh what a beautiful evening
But the day is not yet gone
The sun in the sky is setting but in my heart it is still shining bright
Bright with the friendship of all I have been with today.
Oh now it is bed time
But sleep will be hard to achieve
I’ve had such a beautiful morning
I’ve had such a beautiful noon time
I ‘ve had such a beautiful afternoon
I’ve had such a beautiful evening
I’ve had such a wonderful day
THANK YOU
That nicely leads on to SMILE OF THE DAY:
Be strong enough to walk away from what isn’t best for you, and patient enough to wait for blessings you deserve.
Also yesterday I published my 16th e-book since 1st January 2021 IF MUSIC BE THE FOOD OF LOVE PLAY ON. That has taken my total words to 469,791.
My daily output may decline a bit over the next week or so as I concentrate on editing my quiz sheets into the book WHO NEEDS A PUB TO HAVE A QUIZ. Writing quiz sheets is fun but editing them is boring – big time !
My poetry output is rapid but
I can not plan anything given the words come from my heart and not my head.
Total number of works now stand at 38. Perhaps poems is an exaggeration. When I
hit fifty I will publish DAVE’S POETY then start putting future works, the next
fifty, into MORE RUBBISH FROM POET DAVE.
I do not want to rush through
DESTINY’S SERVANT, I think this is going to be one of my better works so I will
let it proceed at its own pace.
OK, enough of that.
Yesterday another sixty-five
people died from china virus and four thousand, seven hundred and twelve more
cases. Locally for me zero deaths and thirty new cases.
I have to repeat how sad I
feel that the queen just does not see it within her duty to send messages of
condolence to those who are grieving.
The median is full of the US
TV interview Prince Harry and his wife gave. My sympathy is with the couple. It
is not always what a person does but how that
person makes you feel, the royal family has hurt these two so much
surely its members can not stand aside and pretend nothing happened.
ON THIS DAY:
9th
March 1959: The Barbie Doll makes its first appearance. I can not say that I
ever owned one.
9th
March 1960: Doctor Belding Hibbard Scribner implants for the first time a shunt
he invented into a patient which allowed the patient ton receive haemodialysis
on a regular basis.
9th
March 1961: Sputnik 9 successfully launches carrying a dog and a human dummy
into space.
9th
March 2011: Space Shuttle Discovery makes its final landing after thirty-nine
flights.
Life is a Jaguar
so don’t drive it like a knackers old Ford Focus.
When bad days come
and life is indeed a Ford Focus,
knackered or otherwise.
Put the pedal to the metal and drive it like
a Ferrari Testarossa !
Speak
again tomorrow
Dave
