Welcome to TERRIFIC Thursday in FANTASTIC Friday.
I am late starting writing today’s page as EVIL Microsoft hacked into my
laptop to install its downgrading updates. Microsoft so evil it would make the
devil himself look like a cuddly kitted. But not even the world’s most evil institution
is going to stop me having a TERRIFIC Thursday.

Well let’s ask Wikipedia, on-line Wikipedia is everything Microsoft is not. I
am a great fan of Wikipedia so can you tell us:

479 (WOW he is even older than I am !) Confucius was a lovely man, a philosopher
whose wisdom has lasted well into a third millennium.
I doubt my wisdom will last anywhere near that time but here is a second

A SMILE is the vaccination for sadness – vaccinate someone today.
Yesterday we
celebrated 10 million people being vaccinated in the UK. At 9.30am today I
become number 10 million and one.
The vaccination
programme in this country is such a huge success BUT… I have just heard the
vaccinations minister speaking on Sky News where he said we will not beat the
virus until the whole world receives a jab. How many people are there in the
world - Wikipedia ? 7,800,000, 000
! Oh !
What is the population of the UK ? 66,65 million. Do I need to comment
on these figures ? When that needle goes in my arm in just over an hour I am
going to close my eyes and think of all those around the world who never in
their wildest dreams could be a lucky as I am.
Yesterday I did not
publish my diary page on Google Blogger, you will have to wait until the time
capsule is opened on 1st January 2121. That will actually be a
Wednesday. See you there.
Also yesterday I
wrote another 3,404 words bringing my 2021 challenge to 281,540 since 1st
January this year. I am still sticking to my one million word total but
secretly hope to hit two million. My second vaccination jab is on 23rd
April, I will see how many words I have written by then and perhaps revise my
target.
I will never become
a best-selling author, I sold thirty-three books yesterday, but I do plan to be
the world’s most prolific writer on Amazon.
I was working on
some quiz sheets yesterday and have a couple more to complete today. These will
be brought together in WHO NEEDS A PUB TO HAVE A QUIZ. This will be my second quiz
book, writing the individual sheets is easy but editing them together is a
boring nightmare. I think I should perhaps do a bit of work each day so
spreading the load. I plan to publish this but of fun on 23rd April
immediately after I have had my second jab. I am going to dedicate the book to
FLOWERS CARE HOME, to residents and to staff who have fun with my quiz sheets
every week.

AND THREE QUARTERS
STOP PRESS: I will come back
to what I was saying in a moment. I have
just received a call on my mobile phone from 0724 466 0315 where a recorded
voice explained a ridiculous sum of money will today be deducted from my bank
account against Amazon Prime. If I do not want this to happen I should press
one. This is a criminal caller. I have been getting a few of late. I am not so
stupid as to follow instructions but there are those who will. There is no such
number as 0724 466 0315, it is computer generated to hide the caller’s
identity. The call did not originate in the UK, I would bet money on the fact
that it came from China !
Now where was I ?
Oh yes, I did not write a lot for THE SECRET DIARY OF AN OLD MAN AGED THIRTEEN
AND THREE QUARTERS – just 226 words but today I have a very full mind with lots
to add to this little time travel adventure. I will be slipping into a history
lesson when I was 13 ¾ years of age at school. Henry Ford said HISTORY IS BUNK.
He was right. History is a dead subject, dates, people and events which mean
nothing at all within today’s society. However, heritage is alive and a vital
foundation stone.
I am writing this
time travel adventure and I am writing a study and debate about capital
punishment. Both I will have finished and added to my Amazon Bookshelf by the
end of the month. I am then thinking I will write a book HISTORY IS BUNK. I
will start with the reign of King Henry VII 22nd 22nd
August 1485 to 21st April 1509 and progress through every English
monarch to the present day. I will look at and debate the HERITAGE within their
reign.
But back to the
present writing. BEHIND THE NOOSE 801 words written yesterday. This work is
going well but I am waiting for a couple of DVD’s to be delivered by Amazon
which I need to research.
AMAZON, where would
we be in lockdown without Amazon. We have multiple deliveries every week and
quite frankly life would be so hard without this operation. Did you know that Amazon
only began trading in 1996 ? Yesterday
its founder took a back seat, he is the richest man in the world. Perhaps he
can make a takeover bid for Microsoft, eradicate its evil and build into it the
same high level of customer services Amazon is known for.
I am going to buy a
backup laptop as a precaution against Microsoft sodding up this PC with its
hacking downgrading updates. Where will I buy it ? AMAZON of course !
Time to take a

Jabbed with the Oxford vaccine. Didn’t even feel the needle go in. Tomorrow I
am going to take SMILE CARDS to the team.

Today where I live
is Bin Bag Thursday. Will the rubbish be
collected or are 40% of the workforce either ill with covid or self isolating ?
If it is collected then great, if not then
too bad. I had a lovely e-mail yesterday from Peter Marland, Chairman of Milton
Keynes Council, thanking me for my words of support for our bin men.
Yesterday there were
four more deaths locally and 68 new cases. Nationally 1,322 deaths and 19,202 new
cases. I do try very hard to think of everyone behind the numbers, it is so
hard but that does not mean do not do it. I have been vaccinated and in time I
will be protected. I applaud our NHS for vaccinating as of yesterday ten
million people but will the world ever see all 7,800,000, 000 people on Planet
Earth be able to enjoy the love and care I have this morning ?
