Yesterday for me was a R UBBISH day. Thank you to all who keep going through their rubbish days.
DAY TWENTY-FOUR: Sunday 24th January 2021:
My life is comfortable, I am not short of money, lock down is not giving me mental stress, if the truth be told I am having an easy life. Writing I enjoy, spreading smiles is fun but for both I could end what I am doing with a single click of the mouse.
DOCTORS ? NURSES ? TEACHERS ? KEY WORKERS ? SHOP WORKERS ? EMERGENCY SERVICES ? Could they turn of their stress and depression with the click of a mouse ? If they could, would they ? OF COURSE NOT.
Our too little too late government has consistently failed to protect our NHS. Yesterday the media spoke of a teacher who has passed away. Tomorrow will all staff who are STILL working in schools open for children of key workers click a mouse and stop at home ?
Yesterday another 33,532 new cases and another 1,348 deaths. The media is full of this new variant being far more deadly than that we faced twelve months ago. The media is full of the way vaccinations are being offered with twelve weeks before the first and second injection is not effective. DANGER but will doctors, nurses, teachers, key workers, emergency services and shop workers give up and stay at home. NO ! NO ! NO ! No clicking of the mouse.
Protect the NHS ! Sorry Boris Johnson from your mouth those are empty words. The NHS is overwhelmed IS IS IS ! But it will NEVER collapse, never collapse because of its amazing staff.
Today’s SMILE OF THE DAY: To all the people who are loving and kind to me. Thank you for the sunshine you bring into my life.
THANK YOU - DOCTORS - NURSES - TEACHERS - KEY WORKERS - SHOP WORKERS - EMERGENCY SERVICES THANK YOU for all the sunshine you bring into all of our lives every day.
Yesterday I wrote 3,334 words and finished my story BY THE PRICKING OF MY THUMBS. That brings the total words I have written since 1st January 2021 to 232,687. Another week and January will be over. In order to hit one million words across 2021 I have to write an average of 2,740 words, so far I have written an average of 10,116.
What was happening ON THIS DAY ?
24th January 1984 Apple Computer
places the Macintosh personal computer on sale. When will somebody design a
computer that works properly ?
As usual a great long list of people who were
born on this day and I don’t recognise a single one of them !
24th January 1965 Winston Churchill who was born in 1874 died. I was only fourteen years of age but that day I wore a black tie. If only we had his leadership today.
I get the information for this feature each day from Wikipedia. Wikipedia, you know I always have issues trying to spell that name, was much featured on the news. A day never goes by without my using Wikipedia, it is a good source of information. It is not riddled with advertising, it does not steal personal data in order to target advertising. Listening to the news reports it was explained that this is a POSITIVE media resource while Facebook is negative. Look at the complete and utter rubbish people post there. Yesterday part of my frustration was down to people failing to share my SMILE OF THE DAY. Twitter ? I don’t use Twitter, Twitter is for TWITS which is why all politicians use it.
So for me yesterday was a rubbish day ! Geeks, failing people, self-centred people, wastes of space, the media and a lot more all combined to make my day complete and utter rubbish. Writing stories, spreading smiles, I was so fed up yesterday that I felt like giving up and becoming a hermit. GIVE UP. I am not giving up. Every time I have a rubbish day and feel like giving up I will look at our DOCTORS - NURSES - TEACHERS - KEY WORKERS - SHOP WORKERS - EMERGENCY SERVICES who are never giving up. THANK YOU.
To all the people who are loving and kind to me. Thank you for the sunshine you bring into my life.
Catch you again tomorrow for a happy SMILING day.
